The centerpiece of the renovation is the new Dr. and Mrs. Edmond J. Gicewicz Family mgm casino Athletics Hall of Fame that features an interactive experience, including a 70-inch, HD touch-screen LED television that enables visitors to the Hall of Fame to search inductees by year, sport or name.
Multimedia functionality also has been incorporated into the Hall of Fame.
Collages of graphic images highlighting mgm casino student-athletes from every varsity team are featured throughout the lobby and concourse. Improved signage for the ticket office and will call and concession areas also was installed.
“While we have done a lot to improve the inside of Alumni Arena over the years, we felt it was time to update the lobby and concourse areas,” says Danny White, athletic director. “We feel the new visual graphics and updated Hall of Fame will improve the fan experience, making it a focal point of the athletics department.”
